Much has happened since the last entry.  Anthony got a fever on the afternoon of the benefit dinner, July 17th (of course).  Unfortunately, that meant that I (Tony) was not able to attend.  I was very, very disappointed, but Anthony needed me in the hospital.  His fever went away in a few hours, but his white blood count (WBC) was low (400), so we couldn't take a chance stopping the antibiotics.  He stayed in the hospital until Sunday, July 20th, and got a second whole blood transfusion to bring his hemoglobin back up.  He felt fine the entire time he was in the hospital.  We played Nintendo64 alot, we also played some board games, like "Guess Who?".  The nurse unhooked him from the IV pump for a while so we could take a walk to the cafeteria and get some frozen yogurt.  We ate our frozen yogurt outside by the fountain in front of the hospital.  Anthony threw some coins in the fountain.  When I asked what he wished for, he said "I wish my blood count would come back up."

Today he went to the clinic.  His WBC was back up to 20,000 and his hemoglobin was up to 10 (good).  His platelets are still low at 20,000 (>140,000 is normal).

Now, we are just waiting for surgery...
