I said I wouldn't write anything until June 17th, when Anthony starts his third cycle of chemo...I lied.

Anthony went to the clinic today to get his blood count checked.  His WBC count was 40,000, which was well into the
normal range.  It looks like the injections of G-CSF (given by Maria) have been working.  His Hemoglobin was 8.7 (low, but OK).  Dr. Pan said that there is no threshold for Hemoglobin below which he will need a transfusion.  It all depends on his physical symptoms.  If he is feeling very tired, he will be given a transfusion.  Which brings us to the next subject...

Anthony has been very active and in a good mood lately.  He played outside today and got pretty dirty (it's OK when his WBC count is normal).  He is complaining that his legs hurt, but we think that is bone pain caused by his rising WBC count.  The only time he is not in a good mood is when he knows he has to take his antibiotic, or get the G-CSF shot.  Other than those times, he is totally normal, or at least  normal for Anthony.
