| Anthony was admitted into the hospital yesterday to start his second cycle of chemotherapy. He will be receiving Ifosfamide, Etoposide, and MESNA over a 5 day period. They started the insfusions last night at around 7 PM. Anthony didn't seem to mind going back to the hospital. Although, the night before, at our house, he was talking to Maria's father, who mentioned something about coming over again the next day. Anthony said, "...no, I'll be in the hospital." He thought for a couple of seconds and then started crying. I don't think he realized he had to go back until that second. But the next day, he didn't complain, cry, or say he didn't want to go. He was excited about going back to play "Zelda" on the Nintendo 64 in his hospital room. This morning, he ate 2 Eggo Cinnamon Toast waffles, a Waffle Stick, a Gogurt, strawberries, and grapes. I guess the drugs haven't affected his appetite yet. All day long, he ate like a pig, but threw-up shortly after. One of the drugs made him dizzy, which led to him falling and bumping his head. He didn't hit it hard, though. They checked him, and he is fine. Tony, Emily, and Sarah came to visit and we played "Zelda", which he liked. |
